Elizabeth E. "Edie" Johnson, 92, of 36 Clinton St., Driftwood, PA died at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA Saturday night, March 18, 2017. She was born September 12, 1924 in Renovo, PA a daughter of the late George and Catherine Miller Saxton.

 

 On December 25, 1945 in Renovo, PA she married the late Frank Johnson. Edie graduated from Renovo High School. She retired from PA Pressed Metals where she had worked for many years. Years ago she worked at metal wire in Driftwood. She was a member of the Sinnemahoning United Methodist Church and the Driftwood Senior Center. She enjoyed making arts and crafts. Edie enjoyed spending time with her son Randy and her many nieces and nephews.

 

Surviving are a son, Randy Johnson, Driftwood; Sister, Margaret McKimm, Emporium and several, nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Miller Saxton; husband, Frank Johnson and a daughter, Georgie Johnson in infancy, three sisters, Georgeann Buchanan, Catherine Long and Barb McIsaac.

 

 Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Lola Turnbull, Pastor, Sinnamahoning United Methodist Church, officiating. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the Service.

 

Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Driftwood, PA Memorial Contributions may be made to the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library, 27 W. 4th St., PO Box 430, Emporium, PA 15834-0430

Thomas M. "Tim" Woodward, III, 73, of Bradford Ecumenical Home, Bradford, PA formerly of Emporium died at his home in Bradford on Friday (March 17, 2017) morning.

He was born October 29, 1943 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Thomas and Almeda Hook Woodward, Jr.
Mr. Woodward graduated from Cameron County High School. He went to trade school in DuBois and became a machinist and worked for several companies including Cameron Manufacuring and later for Lewis and Hockenberry in Emporium. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium and the Emporium Senior Center where he enjoyed going daily.

He is survived by several cousin
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Almeda Hook Woodward, Jr.

There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Tuesday (March 21, 2017

at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA

Joseph C. Uber, Sr., 72, of 306 Spring St., Emporium, PA died at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA  on Wednesday (March 8, 2017) afternoon.

He was born July 11, 1944 in Emporium, PA a son of the late John M. "Jack" and Lucy Baun Uber.
He was married the late Sharon "Sherry" Uber.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Emporium. He graduated from Emporium High School and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #368, Emporium.

Survived by two sons, Joseph (Emily) Uber, Jr. and Patrick Uber both of  Emporium; three granddaughters: Aubrey, Lauryn & Elena Uber, five brothers, Jack Uber, William "Danny" Uber, Charles Uber, Johnstown, PA; Robert Uber, Emporium; Howard Uber, Emporium; three sister, Ellie Haines, Genessee, PA;  Lily Skillman, North Carolina; Kathy Uber, Roulette;

He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. "Jack" and Lucy Baun Uber, Wife, Sharon "Sherry" Uber, sister, Judy Greenthaner, two brothers, Max and Anthony Uber.

At his request there will be No Visitation or Service.

Sandra L. Brown, 71, of 163 Weownit Dr., Emporium, PA
died at her residence, Emporium, PA Friday (March 3, 2017) afternoon.
She was born December 6, 1945 in Washington, PA a daughter of the late Bernan Eugene Brown and June Sherry Brown Sweet.
Sandy worked for many years at Motor Coil in Emporium.  She loved her dogs and was always willing to adopt a dog to help them out.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother and a brother.

There will be No Services. To honor her, a gathering of friends will be announced at a later date.

Robert D. Mosher, 68, of 420 E Allegany Ave., Emporium, PA died at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA on Friday (March 3, 2017) morning.
He was born April 25, 1948 in Coudersport, PA a son of the late Robert and Monabelle Logue Mosher.
He married Judith Sprague, who survives

Mr. Mosher graduated from Bradford Area High School. He retired from Pro America in Emporium where he worked for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and his dog "Bear"

He is survived by his wife Judith Mosher, one daughter, Bobbie Sue (Forrest) Loar, Ft. Riley, Kansas; three sons, Charles "Chuck" (Beth) Hepfner, Emporium; Joseph (Cristal) Hepfner, Port Allegany; Michael (Christie) Hepfner, Aberdeen, NC; a daughter-in-law, Tristan Dax, Gifford, PA; twenty grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Mosher and Monabelle Logue Mosher Hudson, his step father, Richard Hudson and a son, Robert L. Mosher.
